Rebrand of a small iced tea company based in Hilo, Hawaii. Due to the company’s marketing relying mostly on its location, the Island theme had to be distinct and instantly recognizable. Visual influences were taken from lush, botanical illustration, Hawaiian textiles, and metallic emblems from the vintage station wagons often found parked near the beach.

Packaging concept
Japanese noodle bar identity and laser-cut mural. The name Kaiju means “Strange Beast,” and is derived from the retro sci-fi film genre of the same name.
Taking license with the theme, mock articles were written and then sent to a journalist with the Asahi Shimbun for translation and editing to ensure stylistic authenticity.
