About
J. James is a designer and illustrator who has produced packaging, developed brand identities, and designed installations for museum and retail displays for over a decade. He began his career in the Starbucks Global Creative Group in 2001 before pursuing assignments for theater companies in New York and Seattle. He then entered the children’s literature market, earning him recognition from the Society of Illustrators LA in 2009. He released his first picture book in 2020 and most recently collaborated with artists overseas for an installation at the US Consulate in Guangzhou, China to launch in December 2020. He lives in Hoboken, NJ with his wife and daughter.
